Salam Gaza is a non-profit association committed to guaranteeing fundamental human rights, as recognized in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, in Gaza and other occupied Palestinian territories.
We also operate in catastrophic areas or areas affected by conflicts of any kind that lack the necessary resources, infrastructure or means.
Our work is carried out altruistically, without discrimination, through direct provision of humanitarian aid and collaboration with other committed agents. Currently, our efforts are focused on Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories, providing assistance to the most vulnerable individuals in the region.
To achieve these objectives, Salam Gaza is actively involved in several on-the-ground projects, executing various actions to date to provide effective support (see section ‘Our Activity’).
Our association was founded to reinforce the work of other initiatives that share our goals. We firmly believe that through collaboration and joint efforts, we can offer a more comprehensive and effective response to humanitarian challenges.
At Salam Gaza, we believe that cooperation is our greatest strength. That's why we establish strategic alliances with other organizations to enhance our initiatives and avoid duplication of efforts.
Together, we can generate a much greater impact than we would achieve acting separately.
We are committed to innovation in humanitarian aid
We encourage active participation from the beneficiary population in various initiatives, such as food processing, distribution of drinking water, purchase of raw materials and construction of ovens, among other actions, to foster autonomy and resilience in affected communities.
Our vision of aid is based on collaboration and community participation. We believe in respecting people’s dignity, ensuring they not only receive support but also feel they are active participants and protagonists of their own well-being.
We do not simply provide passive assistance; we complement other initiatives to foster community empowerment and develop sustainable and effective solutions. Together, we can transform the landscape and create a real and lasting impact.
Every act of solidarity sows hope and resilience in Palestinian communities
We look forward to building a brighter future for all. The simplest good deeds, such as a smile, are considered acts of Sadaqah.
Salam Gaza team
At Salam Gaza, we are proud to have a diverse and dedicated team composed of individuals with varied backgrounds and perspectives. This diversity enables us to tackle challenges creatively and collaborate effectively with other organizations. Our greatest strength lies in teamwork both within our association and in partnerships with others.
Although Salam Gaza is a newly established association in its current institutional form, its members have been actively working since the onset of the crisis to respond to the urgent needs of the Gazan population, utilizing the resources and means available to them.
In light of the growing demand for humanitarian aid and following the success of several relief campaigns in Gaza, the founding members of Salam Gaza decided to formalize their efforts by officially establishing the association on September 24, 2024, in accordance with the laws governing the right of association.
The primary goal of this formalization is to enhance the management and distribution of aid, ensuring more efficient resource collection and allocation. We extend an open invitation to all individuals and organizations willing to support this cause, as we strive to address the Palestinian humanitarian crisis with solidarity and commitment.
We invite you to participate in supporting the people in Gaza with your generosity or through al Zakah or sadaqah. It is an opportunity to extend a helping hand to those who need it most. Your voluntary support encompasses a wide range of good deeds that every person can do.
As the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A smile for your brother is sadaqah.
