Kafala Project: foster care for orphans

Kafala is an institution in Islamic law that permits the legal fostering of a child by someone other than their biological parents. Unlike Western adoption, Kafala ensures that the child retains their familial ties with their biological family and does not acquire kinship with their guardian.

One of our medium-term objectives is to support orphaned children through this framework. In Gaza, over 18000 children have lost one or both parents. To date, financial aid has been provided directly to caregivers in the form of monetary envelopes.

Salam Gaza aims to ensure that these children and their families have access to their essential needs, including safe housing, nutritious food, clothing, footwear, education, and comprehensive social and health care.

How can you help?

With a monthly contribution of €50, you can help cover the essential needs of an orphaned child. Your support will create a meaningful and lasting difference in their lives. Together, we can foster a spirit of solidarity and commitment, bringing about a positive and transformative impact.

Your generosity goes beyond providing material assistance, it offers hope, stability, and a sense of security to those who need it the most.

Don't let indifference be an option!
Every little bit counts and, with your support, we can save lives
