Hope for the future becomes increasingly fragile when families’ basic nutritional and mental health needs are unmet. As highlighted by a Save the Children report, Dalia, a mother from Gaza, illustrates this harsh reality:
“Our children have already lived through several wars, they already lacked resilience and now it is very difficult to help them cope. The children are scared, angry and can’t stop crying; even many adults react the same way. It’s too much of a burden for adults, and even more so for children.”
According to the WHO, physical activity not only prevents diseases but also alleviates symptoms of depression and anxiety.
We believe that sports are not merely about physical health but are vital for psychological and social well-being. Sports promote autonomy, self-confidence, self-esteem, and a spirit of self-improvement. With this in mind, we propose establishing sports centers supported by specialized personnel in mental health and nutrition
